The master cleanse diet is 40 days long, but you can also do it for 10 days. For three days out of the 10, users are required to survive only on the liquid mixture.

  3. I did the Master Cleanse for 14 days. I went from 138 to 123. I did NOT gain the weight back. You can’t get fat that is gone back, you can only gain fat again if you eat more then you burn and that has nothing to do with the cleanse it has to be with how you treat your body after it. It is simple math. About 4 lds was water the rest was clearly fat gone. Muscle mass staid the same. So 11 pounds of fat down after 14 days and I have maintained that by NOT over eating, eating healthy, and wokring out a few times a week now for two years. It worked for me.

  4. I don’t think this is a plan anyone can stick to long term and if real weight loss is your goal cayenne pepper can be added to a healthy Daniel diet of fruits veggies nuts and whole grains. This will bring down your Bp glucose levels and keep you heart healthy over a longer period of time without the rebound weight gain. Everything in moderation.

  5. You’re not losing weight because of the cayenne! You’re losing weight because you are starving yourself for 10 days or two weeks/whatever it is! Only drinking this 6-12 times a day you are getting NO CALORIES! And THATS the REAL reason you lose the weight.

  6. I agree, yet it gave me discipline and a healthier way to eat because sugar and salt cravings are gone, and I am so happy with my weight now went from 255lb to 168lbs today. Hypertension has been gone for over 3 yrs. and lowered my blood pressure for same amount of time. Works for me and I was 56 when I did this and still look better at 59.
